“Yo, are we going to go or what?” Sasuke merely lifted an eyebrow at the question, his face betraying none of the turmoil he felt inside. “Man, that Karin…she sure keeps us waiting,” Suigetsu continued, idly twirling his sword, his weight shifting from foot to foot in his boredom. As Sasuke stared at the metal gleaming in Suigetsu‘s hand, his mind was not on the present, but events long past. Ever since he had  returned to the bridge where he and his old team had fought the hidden mist nins, he had been unable to think of anything else; especially after seeing the name of the bridge. The Great Naruto Bridge. Sasuke scoffed.

“Hey,  what’s up with you?” Suigetsu asked, stepping closer to the Uchiha and squatting down to kneel beside him, sticking his sword in the earth nearby. “You sure that snake isn’t eating your brains in there?” he continued, reaching over to poke Sasuke in the middle of his forehead, a familiar gesture which brought other, less pleasant, memories to mind. Sasuke flinched and slapped Suigetsu’s hand away, but said nothing.

“Geez. Touchy much?” Suigetsu sighed and lay back against the rocks behind them both, his body reclining at an almost 180 degree angle. He folded his arms underneath his head and closed his otherworldly eyes, yawning.  “Wake me if something interesting happens.”
